LeBron James lookalike lurks on Lakers sideline during Halloween victory
Fans were seeing double during the Lakers’ 95-85 win over the Rockets on Halloween Sunday.
LeBron James appeared to have a look-alike at Staples Center, and the internet took note of the uncanny resemblance between the four-time NBA champion and a fan sitting court side.
After James threw down a reverse dunk in the second quarter and rushed back down the court on defense, cameras caught him and the lookalike fan in the same frame.
James reacted to the buzz when he noticed a viral tweet from the @ThePettiestLA that read, “Lebron is so good he is playing and watching the game at the same time.”
After the Lakers’ win, James tweeted, “AYO!! True definition of 2 places at the same damn time!!” and added several crying-laughing emojis.
The courtside fan was later identified as designer Patrick Christopher.
In his tweet, James added, “Somebody tell Pat C if he wants to be me for Halloween just ask me. LOL.”
Fans had fun with the situation.
Christopher, meanwhile, took to his Instagram Story to say: “Bron, all of this has my phone blowing up bro… Call my people for ‘Space Jam 3.’”
The designer attended the game to see his friend, Rockets guard Joshua Christopher, who was on his first road trip with Houston. He was selected 24th overall in the 2021 NBA Draft.
James finished the night 6-for-19 with 15 points, seven rebounds and eight assists. Lakers newcomers Carmelo Anthony and Russell Westbrook combined for 43 points in the home victory.
The (4-3) Lakers host the (1-5) rebuilding Rockets again on Tuesday.
