Vaccination for children in the age of 15-18 years will begin from January 3, says PM Modi
Prime Minister Narendra Modi today announced that India will start vaccinating children between the ages of 15 to 18 from January 3 next year.
In a sudden address to the nation on Saturday night, the PM said healthcare and frontline workers will also be provided with “precautionary doses” from January 10 next year while those above 60 years of age who have co-morbidities will also have the option to take the booster dose after doctor’s advice. This too will begin from January 10.

Ludhiana blast accused had links with Khalistani elements, terror outfits: Punjab DGP
Punjab DGP Siddharth Chattopadhyaya on Saturday said that the man who was killed in the Ludhiana blast case and was also behind the explosion had links with Khalistani elements, terror outfits across the border, mafia outfits and narcotics smugglers.
On Friday, one person was killed and six others injured in a bomb blast in the Ludhiana district courts complex, prompting the Punjab government to declare a high alert in the state. Read More

Centre to expedite asset monetisation drive to meet FY22 target of Rs 88,190 crore
The Centre’s apex think tank Niti Aayog has reportedly asked ministries to expedite the government’s asset monetisation programme to meet the current year’s target of raising Rs 88,190 crore. Worth mentioning here is that Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman had clarified that the ownership of all monetised assets would remain with the Centre and the latter is not selling away these assets.
Cabinet secretary is closely monitoring the vital programme in order to ensure that various ministries, which are part of the plan to ramp up their efforts to ensure that the target is met. “We will be very close to the target for FY22 and if there is any gap it won’t be wide,” an official familiar with the development told ToI, giving details of the strategy.
